At times we may all feel paralyzed.
Ever wrestled with a decision that kept you up at night?
Of course you have, we all have.
Ever made numerous pros and cons lists in search of some type of clarity?
Again, you’re not alone.
A lot of us allow ourselves to grapple with simple decisions, often transforming them into monumental molehills.
This grappling tends to lead to paralysis by analysis.
But have you ever considered you might already know what needs to be done? And that you are simply allowing yourself to remain stuck?
Why would you do that, you ask?
Because it feels safe. It prolongs us from confronting the acclamation of change. Subconsciously, we may even tell ourselves that choosing is losing. By not making decisions we don’t have to close any doors. We can keep our options open. We can pretend that one more conversation or pro/con list will finally provide that clarity we seek.
But the clarity we seek doesn’t come from overthinking. It comes from action.
And somewhere deep inside of you there’s a voice telling you to act.
Hello, intuition.
When you think about it, your intuition is actually a finely tuned compass. Since your birth it has been gathering data through every single experience, interaction, and relationship you have had. It has been right there with you through all the assessments and evaluations you’ve encountered.
In other words, your intuition gets you.
And by extension, it gets the decisions you need to make.
Listen to it. Trust it. Move forward.
In a way, you’ve been preparing to make this decision your whole life.
Stand Strong!
Scott
Thanks for passing along your wisdom to us Scott. Have a great rest of the week.
After reading your intuition story today it certainly hit home. Many of my computer files disappeared yesterday. Spent the night thinking of various solutions to resolve it. Finally early this morning intuition stepped in. I remembered a simple solution to what I thought was major one.
Great advice. We all need to open our hearts to the Holy Spirit.
Great advice. I do believe it is the Holy Spirit prompting us. We all need to open our hearts to Him.
You’re quite a philosopher, Scott. I’ve learned to listen to that inner voice, that intuition. I think it’s the Holy Spirit. Your spirit is quite strong, too!
Exceptionally sage advice, Scott. Thank you for sharing!
