The sweet smell of roses always permeates the air the first Saturday of May.
It’s Derby Day.
For me, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. I find it crazy when I think that it’s been 10 years since I attended my last Kentucky Derby. Time can move slowly, yet excruciatingly fast.
If you know me, then you know my love for this race, as well as the entire day.
It’s a day full of excitement, anticipation, and wonderment. It’s a day when anything can happen. And usually does.
Kind of like the journey we all find ourselves on.
Alas, for what it’s worth, my top five finish order:
Improbable
Code of Honor
Win Win Win
Tacitus
War of Will
Here’s to a safe trip around the track and an enjoyable day for all!

Scott, great meeting you. Awesome message of courage and hope. Just think of the thousands who have been blessed by you saying “yes”, when asked if you want to Live. Hey, come on Jeff. 10 years since you have been to the Derby? Next year!!! Let’s make it happen. On my “bucket list”. BTW: Secretariat, all-time Best!!! Had a heart almost as strong as yours. God Bless. Thank you.
Thanks for the tip! I will put my $2.00 on Code of Honor.
