“A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.” – Steve Martin

Unfortunately, the oral antibiotics I’ve been taking to help treat a bone infection in my foot have not had the desired effect which was hoped for. So tomorrow I will have a PICC line (peripherally inserted central catheter) installed which will allow me to receive intravenous antibiotics around the clock. I will most likely have it in for the next six weeks. Hopefully, that should knock out the infection and help heal the pressure sore. I also have an appointment next week to see if qualify for hyperbaric oxygen treatment, which has proven effective in treating osteomyelitis. The good news is, I expect to be back on my feet (literally) by the time warmer weather arrives.

Although I will need to keep the IV line in at all times, it is my intention to keep up with my daily routine and activities. This also includes the St. Baldric’s event on March 15th. As a reminder, I will be shaving my head to raise money for pediatric cancer research. It’s a great cause and if interested, you can help support me by clicking here.

I’m currently 65% of the way towards my fundraising goal. I’m very grateful for any and all support if you’d like to make a donation.

Finally, I’ve begun work on a little project I’m excited to embark upon. I’m not ready to share the details at this point, but hope to provide more information in the near future. I know, it sounds like a tease…

Thank you for all of your continued prayers and support! It is greatly appreciated!

Stand Strong!

Scott

    Scott,
You continue to be in my prayers. May the healing power of the Holy Spirit take over and chase this infection away.
Can’t wait to hear what you are up to next!!!
Spring is coming. I have actually heard some birds chirping (or they are yelling at Mother Nature).
