On September 5, my father had heart valve replacement and bypass surgery. Unfortunately, there were some serious complications and he has been in the ICU in critical condition since. He has been outfitted with a trach and is on the ventilator. He is also receiving intermittent dialysis. He is alert and responding to commands. He continues to get stronger every day.

My family is grateful for the incredible doctors and nurses at the Cleveland Clinic, as well as everyone for your prayers and support. Once again, I am extremely overwhelmed and humbled by the healing power of prayer. Please continue to keep my father in your prayers.

Fortunately, before he went into the hospital we were able to celebrate his 80th birthday a few days earlier. It was a wonderful time which everyone enjoyed.

Stand Strong!

Scott

Scott – I’m praying for your dad to make it through this. I know that Felix is the luckiest and proudest father in the world to have you as his son.

I am saddened to know that Felix is not in good health. My prayers are for his recovery. Felix an I were in a group of young men that hung around at CLS for four wonderful years. Again wishing Felix the best.

I work for the Cathedral Latin Alumni Association & your Dad was one of our presidents for the association. I’m so sorry to hear about this and will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Please let him know I’m thinking about him and will let his classmates know any updates.

I’m so sorry Scott. This is the first I’m hearing of this. I really hope your father gets well. I don’t know what to say except I know he’s a strong man with a great family to really fight for. I’ll pray and keep him in my thoughts and please let me know when and if he wouldn’t mind a visit. I have a pic of your dad at one of your fund raisers at Around The Corner in Lakewood. I’ll send it to you.
Please let him know I’m praying for him and all of you are in my thoughts.
I hope you’re well, please don’t hesitate to call me for anything, I’m always here brother.
