So it turned out to be a pretty exciting day a couple of Tuesdays ago…
I had the opportunity to speak to the Cleveland Browns organization.
Not the players, but about 100 of the office personnel who work behind the scenes to help make the team successful.
Before you roll your eyes and cry blasphemy for my use of the word ‘successful’, keep in mind that sometimes success takes time (a lot of time). Occasionally, it happens underneath the surface, behind the scenes, inch by inch. Foundations need to be laid.
Eventually, hard work, perseverance, a little luck, will yield results. This whole philosophy pretty much summed up the theme of my talk, somewhat akin to how it has defined my life.
I’m not ready to crown the Cleveland Browns 2018 Super Bowl Champions, but I do believe that momentum is gathering and things are moving in the right direction.
As far as moving in the right direction, I continue to work very hard at my therapy appointments each week. I’ll be the first to admit that it’s easy to grow complacent and feel as if progress has plateaued, but sometimes just showing up is half the battle.
I continue to show up, work hard, and keep gaining those precious inches.
Below is a picture from one of my recent sessions where we were working on my balance. I’m able to balance on my own for long stretches at the time, however, on this particular day, Zero felt the need to assist. I mean, come on, who could say no to that face?
Finally, I want to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. Please be sure to take a moment to reflect on all that you have in your life, all you’ve been given, and those whom you have to share it with. Life moves fast. Be thankful for the special moments.
Stand Strong!
Scott

Scott, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Go LEHIGH against New Hampshire on Saturday!
Scott,
I feel beyond honored to even know you – even on a limited basis. When we came in contact with each other at the Walsh Jesuit HS Mothers’ Club Lenten Reflection – through way of our mutual friend, Kristin Foran, I never dreamed I’d be so uplifted by your posts. Days go by through the week and I fall into the typical routine of complaining, being impatient, sometimes frustrated over the small things in life….then your post comes through and I immediately stop to take the time to read it. Always, without fail, I find myself reflecting on life in general and how much I want the very best for you, your health, your family and all your friends. You continue to touch the lives of so many around you and God definitely had a purpose for your life. How amazing that you are one of the few individuals on this planet that are actually fulfilling that purpose. With much love and happiness during the holidays – your friend, Lisa Yates.
Your philosophy on living and perspectives we forget are things we are grateful for!
Steve

Happy Thanksgiving my friend…you inspire all of us in so many ways. I’m not sure even you can inspire the Browns to a win this year! God Bless!
Maybe you should have talked to the team, too. They might win a game just for you! Enjoy turkey day! You will have to work off all those calories though.
Hi Scott , your looking good. You will always be our inspiration!
