No, those aren’t the numbers to a winning lottery ticket. They’re actually the daily high temperatures of the weather a week ago. I went from nursing an over-crisped face with aloe vera and shaving off all my hair, to cranking the heat back up and wearing a winter hat (in the house). All over the course of a few days. I keep saying it, but it has to warm up sometime, right?
Still staying busy as I wait for the flip-flop weather to arrive. Over the past couple weeks I gave a few more talks, was inducted as an honorary member of the Holy Name Society, was asked to participate in a very cool documentary, and continue to make progress on the house/”The Quad” planning.
While I really do wish it was much warmer, I can’t complain, though, not when the good days far outnumber the not-so-good days. Especially considering it didn’t always used to be that way. They say adversity builds character. I think adversity builds gratitude.
Regarding the property I’m hoping to build, I have received some wonderful assistance thus far. However, as with any major undertaking, the more support one has, the better. That being said, anyone with contacts in the construction/building products arena, or appliances, fixtures, etc. who is interested in assisting in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me [reach me through the Contact section or e-mail me at info@gettingbackup.org]. Any and all assistance is extremely appreciated.
Finally, I’m looking forward to a very exciting weekend of sports – the NFL draft, Cavaliers in the NBA playoffs, the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, and of course my favorite, The Kentucky Derby.
As for my annual Derby picks:
American Pharaoh
Upstart
Carpe Diem
And just for fun: Itsaknockout (I mean, how can you not like this horse with the biggest fight of the century a few hours later).
As always, thank you for the continued prayers and support!
Stand Strong!
Scott

Hi Scott,
I am going to a Kentucky Derby benefit party Saturday. If there is any betting, I will bet on your picks! I usually bet on the color of the rider’s outfit!! Will visit soon. I have to get over this rotten cold.
